Sports/Clinical Massage In Brighton and Hove

Clinical Sports Massage with Purpose and Precision

This is not a general massage—it’s a targeted, results-driven treatment designed to address injury, relieve pain at its source, speed up recovery and improve functional movement. Using advanced clinical techniques and a deep understanding of the body,

I work with active individuals recovering from injury, managing chronic pain, or looking to enhance performance.

“ The pain was gone after couple of Sports massage sessions and I could go back to my beloved running.”  Steve

What is Sport/Clinical massage and how it can help you?

Sports massage caters to athletic clients of all types—whether professional, amateur, or those who exercise regularly and lead active lifestyles. Unlike general relaxation massage, sports massage therapy is a more focused deep tissue treatment that targets specific areas of the body where there may be injury, pain, nerve entrapment, scar tissue, or muscular imbalances. Common areas include the shoulders, rotator cuff, neck, hips, and legs.

This type of massage can support both acute and chronic pain, muscle tension, poor posture, injury recovery, repetitive strain injuries, hip and knee pain, lower back issues, and more. It is particularly beneficial for improving mobility, speeding up recovery time, and preventing further injury.

In my Sports/Clinical treatments, I take a clinical and intuitive approach, using techniques such as neuromuscular therapy, soft tissue release, trigger point therapy, and therapeutic stretching to provide effective relief from pain and tension. I also encourage clients to incorporate simple breathing techniques to connect more deeply with their bodies, which helps release stagnant energy from the muscles and tissues.

As a highly intuitive practitioner, I’m naturally drawn to the areas that need the most attention. I meet every client exactly where they are, each treatment is unique and tailored to what their body needs in the moment. My massage skills, developed over more than twelve years of hands-on experience, combined with a strong, grounded therapeutic presence, support clients in releasing pain, restoring balance, and encouraging long-term recovery.

How often should I get a sports massage?

This depends on your activity level, training goals, and whether you're recovering from an injury. For active individuals or athletes, regular sessions—every 2 to 4 weeks—can help maintain muscle health and prevent injuries. If you're dealing with pain or rehab, a more frequent treatment plan may be recommended at first. We can discuss this and make a personal plan for you at our first session.

What is sports massage and how is it different from a regular massage?

Sports massage is a targeted treatment that focuses on specific muscles and soft tissues used during physical activity. Unlike a relaxing massage, sports massage uses clinical techniques to  target and treat injuries, reduce pain, improve mobility, and support recovery. It’s ideal for athletes, gym-goers, and anyone with an active lifestyle.
