Feel More Like Yourself Again

Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive treatment that works with the nervous system to release physical tension, emotional stress and energy blockages. Using light touch, it supports your body’s natural ability to self-heal, helping with pain, injury recovery, anxiety, trauma and more.

Whether you’re dealing with chronic discomfort, nervous system overload or simply want to feel more grounded, CST offers deep restoration for body, mind and spirit

What is Craniosacral therapy
and how can it help you?

Originating from Cranial Osteopathy, CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, non-invasive, yet profoundly effective hands-on bodywork that assesses the membranes and the movement of cerebrospinal fluid in and around the central nervous system. This, in turn, influences the entire body, its systems and organs (e.g. muscular, skeletal, digestive, respiratory, cardiovascular, endocrine, immune and reproductive).

Using light touch, the therapist palpates the body (as well as the head) to identify areas of dysfunction and facilitates the release of restrictions in the fascia, muscles, bones, and meningeal membranes, as well as the associated nerves, fluids, and subtle structures in the body.

Because CST works directly with the nervous system, deeper emotional issues, cognitive functions, stress, anxiety, and PTSD may be addressed and improved during treatment. CST helps balance the autonomic nervous system, stimulates the parasympathetic branch (the "rest and digest" state—where healing can occur), activates the vagus nerve, and can induce a deep state of physical and mental relaxation.

CST is believed to enhance the efficiency of biological processes by supporting the body's inherent capacity for self-regulation, self-correction, and self-healing. The therapy can be used effectively with adults, children, babies, the elderly, individuals with learning difficulties, and is considered safe during pregnancy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Wondering if Craniosacral is the therapy for you?

What is CranioSacral Therapy and how does it work?

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, non-invasive hands-on therapy that focuses on the membranes and fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord, which are key components of the nervous system. By working directly with the nervous system, CST helps improve its function, which in turn positively influences all other body systems (e.g., musculoskeletal, digestive, cardiovascular, respiratory, endocrine, immune and more) and structures. Through light touch, a trained therapist detects and releases restrictions in the craniosacral system, supporting the body’s natural ability to self-heal, balance, and maintain overall health.

What conditions or health issues can CranioSacral Therapy help with?

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) can support a wide range of physical, neurological, and emotional issues by improving nervous system function and releasing tension in the body’s tissues and structures:

• Pain and Musculoskeletal Issues:

Chronic and acute pain, back pain, migraines, TMJ dysfunction, whiplash, slipped discs, trapped nerves, spinal and SI joint problems, facial and head trauma. Mouthwork, a CST technique, supports dental and fascial tension.

• Nervous System Conditions:

Nervous system dysfunctions, neurodegenerative diseases, stroke, brain injuries, cranial nerve issues (balance, hearing, vision), speech and breathing difficulties.

• Chronic and Autoimmune Conditions:

Fibromyalgia, autoimmune diseases, menstrual and digestive problems, birth-related difficulties.

• Mental and Emotional Health:

Stress, anxiety, burnout, PTSD, emotional trauma, cognitive overload, nervous system dysregulation.

• Recovery and Immune Support:

Support during recovery from illness, trauma, surgery, or cancer treatment; relief from Long Covid symptoms.

Is CranioSacral Therapy safe, and are there any side effects?

CranioSacral Therapy is considered very safe and gentle, making it suitable for people of all ages, including babies, children, pregnant women, the elderly, and individuals with chronic conditions, learning difficulties, ADHD, or those on the autism spectrum.

Because CST uses light touch, it is non-invasive and rarely causes discomfort.

Some people may experience mild, short-term reactions after a session, such as emotional release, fatigue, or increased body awareness—these are generally positive signs that the body is processing and rebalancing.

I offer a comfortable and safe space, and tailor each treatment to the individual's physical and emotional needs.
